About Us
About Us
Atitlán GT started from a simple idea: gather honest, verified information about Lake Atitlán in one place, without filler or exaggeration.
I'm Diego Monzón, and this project is my way of sharing what I've learned exploring the lake: its twelve villages, its three volcanoes, the boat routes, where to sleep, eat, and get pleasantly lost. Every guide we publish starts from real information — verified routes, updated prices, tested gear — not generic lists copied from another site.
What you'll find here
- Destination guides by village and activity (hiking, kayaking, photography, food)
- Travel gear recommendations, with Amazon affiliate links where relevant
- Practical information: transport, safety, weather, budget
How we work
We verify routes, prices and practical details before publishing. If something changes — a price, a route, a schedule — we update it. If you spot something outdated or incorrect, let us know.
Affiliates
Atitlán GT participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When you buy through our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — this helps us keep the site free and up to date.
